Who We Are

Josh Beckman is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (supervised by Dr. Sara Gilman), with a Masters of Arts in Psychotherapy. Josh spent over 20 years in pharmaceutical drug development/clinical research with a focus in neuroscience.  When Josh discovered he was adopted 15 years ago he identified the need for more trauma informed therapists who understand the lifelong traumatic impact of abandonment and subsequently transitioned into the healing arts. Josh’s focus is on healing life traumas, building strong and safe attachments and helping clients learn to live an intentional life.

Josh works with individuals, couples, and families; and has experience treating addiction, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and finding relief from overwhelming psychological trauma.  Josh uses and integrative approach of psychotherapy attuned to the mind body connection.

Josh believes in creating a comfortable and safe therapeutic environment, and developing a compassionate and trusting therapist-client relationship allowing for authentic growth.

He has been involved both with Concerned United Birthparents and Mankind Project.
